As a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, North Dakota has received $8.33 million for efficiency and renewable energy for North Dakota consumers. North Dakota is giving this money as rebates when a consumer implements one of the measures listed on the links below. The rebate money is available on a first come first serve basis. The start date of the program is June 1, 2010.
These funds will be similar to the “Cash for Clunkers” program, in that no funds will be held so there is no guarantee there will be funds available at the time of your project. Under this program, residential consumers have a $5,000 cap and commercial consumers have a $15,000 cap per utility customer. McLean Electric offers a submetered all-electric heat rate to their members that is equal to paying $1.03/gallon of propane. MEC rates don’t change every week like the price of crude oil and residential propane so we can help you heat your home at a lower price! For more information on heating your home with electric heat, call Darrin at McLean Electric at 701-463-2291 or 800-263-4922.
