Financial Assistance Award

McLean Electric Cooperative, Inc. is pleased to offer a financial assistance award to assist youth in pursuing their higher education goals. McLean Electric will give $500 financial assistance to one student who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a full time graduate or undergraduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school.

The Financial Assistance Award will be awarded at McLean Electric's Annual Meeting which is held the third Tuesday in June.

Eligibility and Application Requirements

  1. Download and complete the application form (PDF) by typing or printing, attach additional sheets if necessary.
  2. Enclose a statement written by you outlining your career goals.
  3. Enclose a short statement to the following essay question:
    You may have a variety of cooperatives in your hometown. How do these cooperatives contribute to your local community?
  4. Please include a photograph. Recipient's photo will be used on our web site and in our annual meeting booklet.
